Summertime Fun!

Hope you are enjoying the 1st Day of Summer.  It's already a little too hot for me ...but then Summer is my least favorite Season...I'm a "fair weather creature".
My card today is in celebration of Summer, for those who love it.
The image is an unmounted stamp that I've had for many years, ... she still makes me smile.  Notice her toy mouse sticking out of the basket.  * Opps...Cammy from Kaboodle Doodles pointed out to me, that that was the Kitty's "Picnic Lunch!"
The Sun is also an unmounted stamp from years past.  "The Summertime Fun" is computer generated, and the Star Fish is from a Stampin-Up set.  The Net is the backing off some glass tiles and the twine is just twine.
(You can see the glitter more if you click on photo to enlarge)
In this closeup, hopefully you can see that I added extra fine glitter to Miss Kitty's drink, and sun glasses..I also added glitter to the sun.
Thank you for coming by...and stay cool!

DAD!

Instead of DAD, I thought about PA, but spelling it "PAW".  In fear of it getting lost in translation, I decided to stick with DAD.This image is by "Judith".  I purchased it at a stamp convention in 1996.  Judith actually autographed and dated the stamps that I purchased.  I also have the Bride Rabbit Stamp that goes with this handsome Guy.
The little Star button is made by stacking and glueing many punched out stars together.
The letters "D,A,D" are from a SU alphabet set.  I also used a bit of 'trash"...a crumpled-up grocery bag, and the metal corners are cut from an air tight seal on a tin of peanuts.
As always, the image is colored with Copics;
Rabbit E 40, 41,42,43,44,47,70
Clothing B 21, 23, 24, 26, 28
and R 01, 32, 35,37

OVER, AND OVER, AND OVER AGAIN!

I titled this card "Over, and Over, and Over Again",  because that's what I did, I reworked it over and over and over.  I just could not compose a card that would do justice to this darling LOTV image.  For me, coloring the image with my Copics, is the "funnest" part of making a card, but I struggle greatly trying to put the rest of the elements together and coming up with something I'm happy with.  Hopefully, the more I do it, the easier it will become.

I did however, rediscover my Radiant Pearls.  I forgot just how much I loved working with them.  At different angles, you can see how her wings and the flowers shimmer...

You Are The Answer To My Prayers!

This cute little digi image is from Bee Crafty.  It was a Freebie they offered for one of their Challenges.  Unfortunately, I didn't get my card done in time for that challenge...However, I did get it done in time to give to my wonderful Hubby on our Anniversary.

The image is colored using my beloved Copics, then cut out and mounted on a "Wonky Square" by Nestabilities.  I distressed the edge with Ranger's Walnut Stain and Tea Dye Distress Ink pads.  I also used a MS punch.  I'm in love with this "Shabby Vintage" DP from (surprisingly) Tim Holtz.  I also used a Nestablities Curvy Rectangle on the inside, to make a window for my computer generated sentiment.  I didn't want to get too "fussy", since it was for my Hubby, so no bows, glitter, or flowers.

Computer generated outside sentiment:

Tiddly Inks Blog Hop

Tiddly Inks  is having an Open Blog Hop.  I've never had a card in a Blog Hop before, so thought I would join in on the fun.  This is one of my favorite Tiddly Ink's digital images.  This is "Joy Bug"...isn't she sweet?
She is colored with copics and lots of glitter for her wings...a  girly bug can never have enough glitter on her wings!
The sentiment is computer generated and punched out with SU punches.
DP is from the "Sweet Fairy" collection.  The flower is made from a brown paper bag...saw the video on YouTube.  The card stock layer behind Joy Bug is cut with Nestibilities "Peony".  The corrugated piece in the lower left corner is "by" Starbucks.

I hope you are enjoying the blog Hop.
You can find two other cards I made using Tiddly Inks images, in some earlier posts.
Thank you for stopping by.

A WARM HELLO!

Hi Everyone, I hope you all had a wonderful Mother's Day Celebration!
The image I used on todays card, is a sweet little Ballerina Kitten from "Stamps Happen"
The image is colored using Copic Markers.  The Kitten is done with various Warm Grays, and her dress is done using one of my favorite color combinations; R81, R83,R85

I'm not sure if you can tell, that I have added Diamond Stickles to the edge of her skirt, the flowers in her hair, as well as on the bouquet of flowers.  I also added a bit of tulle to her bouquet to give it a softer look.

May Those Who Love Us, Love Us!

This card is about the Sentiment, one of my favorites...
It makes me smile.
I felt the card should to be pretty, in order to add more "punch" to the sentiment....
kind of an April Fools card.
I bought the Sentiment stamp way back in 1998.  It is from River City Rubber Works.
The sweet girl imagine is colored with Copics.  She is a digi I found on Free Digital Stamps.  I have gone back several times, to see if I could find her again, in order to give the artist credit,
however, I haven't been able to find her.
Hope I'm not the only one here, with a "twisted sense of humor".
The Challenges I am entering in are;
Card Cupids Blog;  "April Fools"
Crafts and Me Challenges;  "Anything Goes"
Wee Memories; "Anything Goes"

I'M BACK...

It's been a while...I had what so many others have had, that cold/flu that just won't go away.  Mine lasted three weeks...had me questioning if I'd ever feel like making a card again.  PTL that has passed!  I hope to have a card to post a little later today.  It's good to be back!

Distressed!

No, not me...my card!  This weeks Challenge over at "Do You Stack Up Challenge Blog" is "Distress It!"  As you can see, if I distressed this card any more, it would be just a pile of little pieces of paper.  I may have gotten a little too carried away!
I used Copics to color the image and a stamp pad the give depth to a piece of grocery bag, that I repeatedly crumpled up. The image I used was a Freebie at La boite a surprise .  The "LOVE" is part of a free image, but for the life of me, I cannot find it's source again.  If anyone knows, please let me know, so that I can give credit to the artist.

This card is also entered in the following Challenge Blogs;

A New Challenge Blog and a New Challenger!

Over at the Do You Stack Up Challenge Blog , they are having their first ever challenge.  Since I have never participated in a challenge and love using digital images, I thought this would be a good place to "get my feet wet".  The Challenge is "Cute as A Button", and I thought this little guy  totally filled the bill!
The image I used was free from Digital Delights

HAPPY 2011 EVERYONE!

A Little Gothic Cutie For Valentines Day!
I'm not really into Goth, but "Tiddly Inks" has some darling little cuties I could not resist.  Best of all, they are digis!  This little gal is called "Always The Flower Girl".  She is colored with copics.  The paper is from a "K&company pad, and the ribbon and trinket were sent to me by Tina at http://crafts2do4fun.blogspot.com for her Nov. Candy Blog.

My First Posting of one of my cards.

I'm going to have to learn how to take photos of cards!  Your "photo taking tips" would be most appreciated.
This is of course, a Magnolia stamp...I have fallen in love with Tilda, and can't wait to get more images of her.  She is colored with Copics, which I am obsessed with...I mean, just looking at my collection of Copic Markers excites me!

White Sharpie Poster Paint Pen (extra fine tip)

Have you tried Sharpie's white Poster Pen yet?  I LOVE this pen for making white highlights.  It's one of those things you buy and try, and then feel like you need to go buy another one, "just in case".  Michael's now stocks them...be sure to get the fine tip.  Let me know what you think.

Hello World!!!  I'm not sure why I am setting up a blog, but I'll give it a try and see what happens.  I'm sure it will take me quite a while to figure all this out, so please don't give up on me too quickly.
